Jane Hotel: Under $100 Per Night
Mr. MacPherson said the building, which has long been a single-room-occupancy hotel and is now called the Jane Hotel, is not for the “faint of heart.” The lobby is a construction site, and guests will share bathrooms with long-term residents. But it is a place for bargain and atmosphere hunters.

MTA Announces Budget Cuts and Construction Delays
I think this a code word for fare hikes.
The projects being cut include 19 subway station renovations and important projects for the modernization of subway signals and repair facilities.

I had the opportunity to check out the relatively new rooftop bar Salon De Ning. This summer has seen quite a few of these locales popping up in the city. This is the 3rd rooftop bar I’ve visited, the first being Highbar and the second Eden.

Floating Pool to Dock in South Bronx

Bun Free Dinner Fiasco
